The District Nine Virginia Alcohol Safety Action Program is one of twenty-four local ASAP programs in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Each ASAP operates under the Commission on VASAP. District Nine VASAP services the counties of Culpeper, Fauquier, Madison, Orange and Rappahannock.
District Nine VASAP’s mission is to improve highway safety by decreasing alcohol and other drug-related crashes and other incidents that cause death, injury, property damage, and human suffering by providing public information and education to our service area and direct services including education, treatment and monitoring to the offenders. The VASAP system prides itself on being a totally offender funded system. In short, it operates without the assistance of state tax dollars.
